Wie die Kollegen von CNET berichten hat Microsoft sich entschieden das Microsoft Kin Phone zu stoppen und sich voll auf das Windows Phone 7 zu konzentrieren.

The phone will not ship in Europe, as planned, and the company is shifting the team’s workers to focus on Windows Phone 7, the Microsoft smartphone operating system due out later this year. Andy Lees, who heads up the company’s cell phone efforts announced the move to Microsoft workers earlier on Wednesday, according to a source close to the company.

Microsoft hatte erst im April 2010 das Kin One und das Kin Two vorgestellt. Damals hatten gerade in Europa viele an den Erfolg gezweifelt. Scheinbar kamen die Kin Brüder auch in Amerika nicht so an wie gewünscht oder Microsoft hat sich einfach auf die echten Handys zurück besonnen und entschieden das das Windows Phone 7 viel mehr Aufmerksamkeit benötigt.
